Someone came out and buried the line this morning. The man was in an unmarked truck told me that he buried it bout 2 inches below the ground and he hand dug it all the way through the front of a lot next to me. I am not sure why it wasn't buried deeper as I am sure that it was deeper the last time it was replaced with a machine. I am hoping that the contractor for Google Fiber will clean up the dirt on the sidewalk when they come back to do some restoration to my yard which includes putting in some new grass.

Late last week, I went out to clean up the mess on the sidewalk where the cable was to be placed between 2 properties that I own and the cable was not placed in the conduit. He had placed the cable between the divisions in the sidewalk and covered it up with dirt and rocks which is NOT where the cable was originally located. I have made several phone calls to Comcast but kept being turned over to another person and have not received a call back from the last person. Honestly, this is NOT a COMCAST issue but Bear Contractors had given me their direct contact and I was told to call Comcast. TOTALLY NOT MY PROBLEM BUT I HAVE SPENT MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME ON THIS. This is a Huntsville City Project and there should be someone responsible that I could talk to. Will be happy to send photos.

We have spoken with Chris Copper from comcast about this he is going to get a work order submitted to get the drop bury done. He did say that it would be probably be at least 7 to 10 days to complete.

This morning I looked at the rest of the cable that was buried. It is not buried. The majority of it was laying along the side of the sidewalk in the front of my vacant lot. The entire cable needs to be buried appropriately.

Ash - Did this ever get resolved by the city?

Nothing has been done. I was told by the city that they don't have anything to do with this. I have spoken to Comcast several times and the last time was 6/7/19. I feel like the city should have some responsibility since Google Fiber is being installed by them.

Another email with the above pictures has been sent to Chris Cooper at comcast.
