Description
People who "bought" this single-family home have been building additions to a garage in the back yard. The original garage even has a Dish attached to it! There are at least 6+ cars parked at the dead end of Linnea Ave, mainly at night and in the weekends. The neighbors are concerned about trash, possible sanitation problems, noise from all this construction, loud paries in the summer, and obviously the lack of pulling any permits.

Elizabeth, I guess 2 months is long enough to wait for someone from the Building Department to show up. If they did, it hasn't been acknowledged here. tt started as a Code Enforcement subject with what I felt was illegal building with no permit but it has evolved into so many other issues that have been documented here sjnce May 7. I will be getting in touch with my Councilor for help. My neighbors and I have been more than patient waiting for city officials to step in and take care of this mess.

Elizabeth, I agree with you 1000%!! I have noticed recently that the City is closing more and more complaints before the work is performed, either by the homeowner or the City. Ordinance 3 and 5 are always busy, and they do a great job responding or "fixing" issues usually within a week, sometimes days. THAT'S how SeeClickFIX should work!
Nwc, the Police Department acknowledged this complaint on May 9, and posted on May 13 that a unregistered car had been towed. When another poster responded to the tow and asked "What about the illegal building?" the police responded that the Building Department would have to investigate it. If Building had been here in the last 11 weeks, they could have least updated us and eased some of our collective frustration.
So here we are at a total stalemate 11 weeks later -- 54 comments and 8 FIX ITs -- That's why I have to proceed to the next level. It is apparent this complaint will lay fallow and nothing will get done. It hasn't helped me or my neighbors who put up with this every day, and as taxpayers we deserve so much more for our money.

Week #12 -- Big loud party last Saturday night with roomies and guests intoxicated and driving home, one leaving the rooming house around midnite and almost backing into a neighbor's car before another reveler ran out to stop it just in time....Young children screaming and running in the streets during the party in the dead end and in neighbors' yards and between their cars playing hide and seek while the adults continued to get drunk.
I mentioned a while back that there is only one bathroom in this "rooming house." There must be a dozen people living in the house and the garage. The men publicly urinate in the dead end and the back yard. One was spotted relieving himself in the front yard. What is even more shocking is the sight of a little girl going to the bathroom in a small industrial style bucket on the side of the house with a man "supervising" this public urination. Can you say DSS after everything that's been stated here? When is the City of Champions going to DO something?! I've written my Councillor but have not heard back.
So, City of Brockton, what more do you
