I believe there is hazardous waste here, and the piles are both blocking pedestrian traffic and vehicle traffic in the street. Biking is particularly dangerous there right now.

The place is BEYOND a health hazard and full of fecal matter, urine, broken glass, and 2-3 homeless men who deficate in the street and in cans, etc. I am horrified to even ride a bike or walk thru there at any time. Nobody seems to go out and clean it. Lights are dim at night under there, and much drug sales, prostitution, and violent/ mentallly challenged individuals reside there. There are REALLY CREEPY homeless guys under there with shopping carts and stolen goods they plunder from temescal and surrounding areas. I personally am FED UP with this unsafe, disgusting crap!!!
It is unclean, foul, sad and unsafe. I don't get it. Why does no city service or police put an end to this? Piles are YES- blocking thru traffic and ped. walkways!!!! Urine, glass, human vomit, needles and more fun to be had there. Seriously this is so messed up, 24 hours a day. Did I mention the graffitti and tents and stolen bikes??? This issue is beyond bad, and I for one- (a temescal apt. renter and resident) and fully sickened and fed up. Police do NOTHING>! Public Works turns their head and looks the other way. This madness HAS TO END NOW. Health Hazard beyond recognition.
