The City of Petaluma has received your email, which was forwarded to us by the Argus Courier. Due to budget cutbacks, only one electrical technician is currently on staff to maintain our entire inventory of street light fixtures. As a result, the City is experiencing a backlog of reported outages, which are repaired in the order requests are received. Unfortunately, this means that we are unable at this time to give you an estimated repair date. We apologize for any delay, but will attend to the problem as promptly as is possible. Thank you for your patience, and for bringing this outage to our attention.
Could you please let the city know of the either the pole numbers or the addresses that the street lights are in front of so that we can add them to the list, also the address of where the lawn spinkler is so we can get work orders sent out. Thanks
Hello, there! It's been eight years since you've posted this issue. I recently bicycled through the subdivision and saw that the street lights there were refitted with LED. The City Council of Petaluma completed a project to modernize all cobra-head lampposts with LED throughout town. I don't about the sprinklers, however. You should see the new lighting—I'll bet your neighborhood looks more beautiful with the new LEDs at night.
