Description

Please look at the Link Below to the Fox News 13 news story aired on May 14, 2019 regarding the unlicensed contractor and non-permitted front & rear stairway railings and second floor catwalk/balcony railings at this forty unit apartment complex for 55+ aged residents.

Review of the photos are a small sample of the existing danger of the unlicensed, non-permitted and substandard installation.

The unlicensed non-code work is in a stage of partial completion - and renders the property in a dangerous condition due to the unlicensed & non-code replacement railings on staircases/catwalks/balcony on the front and rear of the property.

Much of the now cracked installation areas are improperly filled with grout - instead of cement to hold the railings in place - not to mention the non-code substandard installation and improper height issues with the railings themselves.

A). When will the existing dangerous condition left on the premises of this 55+ age community be addressed - as nothing has been addressed since the Stop Work Order from May 6, 2019 - elderly residents are at risk.

B). Allowing the residents to continue to be exposed to the continuing dangerous conditions posed be the unlicensed contractor work product on both the front and rear stairway and the catwalk/balcony areas is an accident waiting to happen. Either the grout anchoring these improperly designed and installed railings will give way or the non-standard railings will themselves cause an accident. This needs to be addressed forthwith, before a terrible accident occurs.

Thank you for your anticipated prompt response, diligence and professionalism.
