Good morning, we looked in our system and there is a target resolution date set for tomorrow. If not addressed, we will escalate the issue to the responsible department for resolution.
Good evening, there is a pending bridge repair at this location. We will inquire on the status of this repair and ensure to forward any information provided.
Checking in. The bridge really bounces if you have to sit there for a second. Traffic is also not improving from the loss of a lane at this busy intersection. There is a hole through the bridge, so I'm not sure why repair would be pending, it's definitely required. What can we do to help this be a priority?
Good afternoon, we were just informed by Public Works that they are still in the process of selecting a contractor to make these repairs. They advised contractor selection should be completed shortly and repairs will follow.
Good morning, Steph. We were advised of this last month:
The Department of Public Works is currently putting together contract documents together for our Procurement Department to advertise for contractors to perform the repairs. Funding for the project has been an issue since due to budgeting, thus delaying the process. There was not an estimate of time they could provide since they don’t have a contractor on board yet.
We will ensure to forward over any other information that is provided regarding this repair.
This bridge is listed in'Fair' condition by the Federal Highway Administration (https://infobridge.fhwa.dot.gov/Data/BridgeDetail/22215419#!/%23NBITab) It will likely be ignored until someone is hurt or killed or a lawsuit is filed. The City of Atlanta is most responsive to issues once law suits are filed.
