Exactly, I'm all for traffic enforcement but there needs to be a line drawn between what is safe and what is not.

It's all about the revenue, to 'F with safety. Watch out for the device they dangerously leave on the left side of the road to send your speed to the waiting copper.

It is a less then desirable place to sit but hey if they sat in the open you wouldn't speed past them ! But most people complaining probally got pulled over for speeding !

Tom, you are another one that has not driven this highway at night when they have "the sticks'
setup. Its a bad spot and one of them is going to get injured if not worse. If they sat at the onramp at 252 that would be safer, and no I didnt get caught. Again as the original poster wrote this is all about officer safety nothing else.

Frankly, if I was a taxpaying resident of this township, I would complain to the township council/commissioners that I want my police proactively patrolling in the neighborhoods to prevent potential crimes from happening and not wasting taxpayer money by sitting on a BYPASS which helps alleviate traffic congestion on the smaller township roadways. The State Police are already patrolling this hwy and have radar to enforce speeding which Upper Prov PD does not. These guys apparently don't have enough work to do. Not to mention they probably reach speeds of 100 mph to catch someone who is only going 75.

Ive been PULLED OVER on this highway. I drive this highway at least once a week. I know where they sit... Knowing that they're on the look out for speeders I'm extra careful on the highway. As should everyone else.

MMC, you know where they sit, the original poster knows where they sit. That is not the point.
The point is someone who does not know where they are and get distracted for some reason
(small child crying, sick person going to hosp, any reason) and comes up on them too close to the highway is going to hit their car if not worse. Remember this is all about officer safety nothing else.

Hey they have a quota system they have to maintain. If not they might lose their jobs.
