Another one of Oakland super entitled.

Not the original poster here but I live in this neighborhood. People constantly drive and dump their cars here leaving no room for residents to park. Multiple houses on this street have NO DRIVEWAY and rely on street parking. The 72 hour rule ensures that residents that live on the street have an opportunity to park in the vicinity of their home.

Your comment contributes nothing and improves nothing. So maybe keep quiet if you don’t have anything positive to add. Or if that’s your vehicle, don’t be mad when people report you for violating the rules. Maybe direct your comments towards the city council if you feel the policy should be revisited.

Sorry for the snide remark. I have them on my street as well. Perspective there is between 1250 and 1300 abandoned vehicle reported on SCF in Oakland every month. Parking enforcement part of Oakland DOT doe's not communicate with OPD abandoned auto unit about these cars with multiple tickets which should be towed after the second citation. The back log allow people keep removing the 72 hour tow notices.

I do not approve of self-appointed police officers or parking enforcement technicians. Instead of taking care of their own neighborhoods, these self-appointed vigilantes are going around collecting "civic points" to make a name for themselves. I find it repugnant that these people sneak around other people's neighborhoods at night.

I agree - but I’ve spoken with the neighbors and this was reported by someone living on the street after other neighbors including myself were consulted. I’m sorry you seem to have someone out trying to get you but that’s not the case here and it’s not the case every time.

Registration tags are from 2006...this is ridiculous.
