It would be wonderful to be able to walk to Publix or all of the other shops without the risk of being run over. Due to the steep hill approach the drivers going north on Ashford Dunwoody have to not be speeding to be able to stop in time for someone in the cross walk, and quite frankly that is rarely the case. I think the simple solution would be to have a light installed so cars have to stop when pedestrians want to cross. I don't think a sign is going to make much difference. I still would not let my kids cross there if there was only a sign.

I would agree with Anne Marie's comments about how a light would be more effective. The signs we have had in the past have been pummeled by drivers going too fast. I have been in the crosswalk and people have yelled and honked at me for being in the crosswalk. A light or law enforcement would be more effective.

I would love to have the crosswalk lights similar to what they have on Buford Highway just north of Chamblee Tucker.

We have added the state law pedestrian signs on the crosswalks on Ashford Dunwoody Rd at the park. For these crossings, as well as the ones at Kaddleston and Waddelston, we are in the process of ordering and installing Rapid Flashing Beacon pedestrian activated signs. These signs will flash yellow lights when activated by a pedestrian to warn motorists that a pedestrian is present and to stop. These lights will be installed over the next couple of months.
