The canopy is scheduled to be replaced due to it's condition. The funding should be in place soon at which point the work will begin. A few recent heavy wind events ripped the canopy multiple times to the point that is was falling off of the frame and hanging down into the playground.

Canopy replacement is scheduled for 2019.

Will it be done in time for summer? The park near our house, Maggie's, is also not serviceable. The state of our parks and playgrounds is unacceptable given the high taxes we pay for city services.

The resolution to purchase the new canopy will be on the 7/22/19 Council meeting agenda. If approved, the canopy will be ordered the next day. Update to follow.
