Description

commercial trucks parking overnight on residential street. submitting complaints for months. no action.

police, please enforce.

10.12.030 - All-night parking restrictions—Streets designated...Vehicles other than commercial vehicles shall be allowed to stand or park between the aforesaid hours... of one a.m. and six a.m.

10.12.060 - Nighttime parking—Penalties.
A. Any person who shall receive a notice from the police department of the city to appear at the office of police headquarters to the effect that his vehicle was parked in violation of Sections 10.12.030 through 10.12.050 of this chapter...

This vehicle has been parked for days in a no parking zone creating sightline issues.
Not a single ticket issued.
Mayor's office states the police are the only ones that can act.

Thank you for reporting the issue to the City of Bridgeport. Recently a list of complaints pertaining to commercial vehicles parking illegally on city streets were compiled and sent to the Chief Administrative Office. They are currently working with the Police Department in an effort to resolved the matter.

You are correct. They haven't responded at all and quite frankly, no official has actually responded to the issue in this forum. Unless the Mayors Office Official has the authority to take action to enforce the laws regarding commercial vehicles and parking on the streets, then MOO's response is but a puff of wind.
