Why is a kid playing in the street? Does the short bus pick him up?

I was driving on Jackson this morning, going about 50 mph and almost hit a child that was waiting for the bus. Parents need to teach their children to keep off the streets.

Very familiar with the area and people drive too fast through this 35mph area. Awaiting the school bus or getting your mail/paper shouldn't be so risky. No one should be going 50 mph. Speed LIMITS are set based on ability to navigate and react IN PERFECT CONDITIONS. For the remedial, that means if roads are wet or visibility limited you should go LESS. Save a life and slow down....it may just be your own.

Same problem on Rte. 20 between Normandy Drive to Johnnycake Ext. this is the Autobahn of Lake county. No enforced speed limits. Especially bad near Clyde C. Hadden Elementary. Not enough signals to show it is a school zone with many children who walk to school. LITTLE CHILDREN.

Heisely Road is so bad with the speeding. No one goes 35 on Heisely and on Blackbrook Road on the Mentor side no one goes 25 mph on this road either and people get upset when you do the speed limit on Blackbrook, they give you the finger and swear at you and I even had someone in a yellow truck go around me on a double yellow line.

Something need to be done!
