I'd like to request a walkway for pedestrians to cross Murray Hill Road to get to Clocktower. A lot of residents come from Columbia Common Apartments to catch the bus on Clocktower and have to hurry across the street which is very dangerous because cars come speeding up the hill and may not see people crossing the street.

Thank you for reporting your issue/request to the Howard County Department of Public Works\Traffic Engineering Division.
DPW place marked mid-block crossing where traffic studies results indicate that there is no safety hazards for pedestrians to cross a roadway. Out traffic study at the subject location indicates that the geometric configuration of the roadway is not suitable for mid-block crosswalk. In addition, there is a marked crosswalk at STOP controlled intersection approximately 500 ft south of Clocktower Ln at Vollmerhausen Road. For these reasons we will not make any changes at this location at this time.
