The Town recently painted a white line along the curb at the intersection of Rt. 17 and Royal Oak. Although this is nice, it does not replace the need for a light at this intersection at night. It's still dark and it's still hard to see where to turn.

With the recent power outage and our town totally in the dark, now everyone knows what it is like to try to find a road to turn into when there is no light. I know there are alot of issues for the town to address right now with the aftermath of the recent storm but this issue needs to be addressed once and for all. We are not asking for a traffic light, we are just asking for some illumination for our big neighborhood when we turn in and pull out of our street onto a State highway which is more like a racetrack! Please get this done.

There is an electric/telephone pole across the street from Royal Oak Drive. All they need to do is put a light on it!

My wife and myself are in our 70's. When we enter this intersection I but on my highbeans, and watch out for the many deer in the neighborhood, and sometimes there is a car parked in front of the first house on the right. If nothing else the first property should be a no-parking after dark zone. A light is needed before an accident happens.

I strongly agree with the previous comment about the light being needed, particularly with the car being parked on the street in front of the first house on the right. It is a bad accident waiting to happen. We need one NOW!!

The street light is still needed.....New Year, new hope that this situation will be revolved.

Two years have gone by and no action has been taken on this. Route 17 is a racetrack, especially as drivers crest up the hill toward Royal Oak. Coming from Route 17, this portion of the road narrows, making turns onto Royal Oak very dangerous. It's even worst at nighttime. There are over 100 homes in this subdivision with LOTS of traffic in and out. Why can't this situation be resolved once and for all, it's ridiculous!

This ticket is still unresolved and we are now going into the FOURTH year! What will it take to get a light installed before a bad accident occurs. Would the leaders of this town think differently if they had a loved one living in our subdivision. I have a very hard time turning into this street at night, especially with the darkness and snow of winter. Someone please take action and resolve this once and for all. We are asking to improve the safety of the all those who live in this neighborhood and for those who visit us, and that includes school buses!!

Obviously a light is not needed.

This issue is unresolved and is not closed! A street light is needed and I will continue to pursue this issue.

It has been 2,170 days since this ticket was opened. What a shame that we STILL don't have a street light at the bottom if our street. I challenge anyone in town, drive all the way down Routes 79, 77 and 17, every street has a light at its entrance. Why not our??!!! It is frustrating and VERY upsetting. All we want is a light added onto the telephone pole for lighting.....really Town Selectwoman? The Town wants to build a huge safety complex encompassing fire department, EMTs and police for some 16 million dollars and you can't afford one needed street light?! Please act on ours behalf now!

As the originator of this report I am very happy to say that this issue has been resolved! A light has been installed at the entrance to the neighborhood. What a difference it makes! The LED light illuminates the entrance very well. I am satisfied that this addition has made entry and exit into our neighborhood at Royal Oak Drive much safer! I give a huge 'thank you' to whoever made this possible! It only took six years but this ticket is finally closed!
