Description
Last year I emailed you about illegal parking on east side of Braemar Baseball field. On Braemar Blvd. It appears the changes you made are not working.
If you drive by there now a days at 7:30PM or 8PM during the baseball season you will see cars illegally parked. They drive over the grass to park.
The City should be able to collect some income from parking tickets.
Thank you for your help on this matter.
I always appreciate your help on keeping our city the BEST!!

We are still aware of this issue and try our best to patrol the area when we have someone available. We wish to gain compliance with people and not hand out tickets. If you see this issue while you are out please call our non-emergency 24hr dispatch number at 952-826-1600 and we will send someone out to check if available. If you feel more signage is needed please contact our Engineering department at 952-826-0371 and speak with Nick Bauler.
Thank you

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate your quick reply back to me.
You mentioned no tickets and possibly more signage.
I understand the "no ticket" thought pattern.
There is plenty of signage there now. More signs "ain't" going to stop illegal parking.
How about just taking all the "no parking" signs along that strip of road and let people run over the grass and park any place they want.
Sorry to be such a pain about this. It must be my 25 year Navy career coming into play. We followed the rules in the Navy. Plus we (City of Edina) are spending millions of dollars to make Braemar Park look great. Driving on the grass to me is not a part of that.
Another thought--is it possible to put boulders along the road--out of the way of snow plows, etc??
Thank you ,
Kevin
