Description
It is almost endearing that Princeton has contracted with Lightning McQueen to repave Cuyler and Dempsey. Mr McQueen has repeated the job he did in the movie "Cars". I hope Princeton will do what Radiator Springs did and make him scrape off what he pooped down and do a proper job.
All joking aside, the new top layer stops about 1-2ft from the curb, forming a nice ridge ready to trip up bike riders. This is not safe, I hope you fix this asap.

In addition to the paving being really ugly and unsafe, we who live on Cuyler were never notified in advance that the paving would be done. The contractors arrived at around 7:00 am on Friday morning, May 31, before people could use their cars to go to work, and blocked off the street until 12 noon. There were also likely 5 or 6 cars parked on the road, which might have been moved, if we had known in advance of the work to be done. Why weren't we notified?
We had to get a zoning variance for our new generator 4 years ago that required us to send out notices by certified mail to all the nearby neighbors in case they objected to our plans. (No one did, fortunately.) Why isn't the town required to do the same thing? There were also toxic fumes coming from the fresh black top, where a 90 year old woman lives. She should have been told to shut her windows!
Lastly, one of our neighbors who tried to drive her car into her own driveway was rudely treated by one of the men, who shooed her away. There are so many things wrong with this whole affair. Please repave the road properly, and let us know when it will happen -- several days in advance!
