The construction noise everyday day of the week including Saturdays at 7:30 am is intolerable even with ear plugs and has made living here an absolute nightmare.
I hear this construction will be going on for years. Is there a way to put in a request at least for them to start construction on Saturdays at a more reasonable hour like 10 am?

The NYC Noise Code, http://www.nyc.gov/html/dep/html/noise/index.shtml states that construction should start after 10 am on Saturdays, which it is not. Since the residential building came up after the street construction started, I don’t think they took into consideration the new tenants in the neighborhood.
If this is bothering you too, I’ve attached community board links and phone numbers to call to file noise complaints. I figure if this issue is bothering more tenants and more people complain, maybe they will try to fix the problem.

Hi I am also a resident of 2 Cooper and unfortunately when I moved here about a month ago nobody warned me of the noise which I also think is Intolerable. I hope that together we can do something about it. Anything I can help let me know.
