What's the deal with the school buses trying to make the right hand turn from Carolina Beach Road onto Northern Boulevard. I've tried calling the school transportation person awhile ago and nothing. I know others have tried too. A few months ago the city just paid $5k to fix the pergola on that corner from a truck hitting it trying to make that turn (and not the first time). Some days you'll see buses not being able to make that turn. They either have to back onto Carolina Beach Road and then continue the turn or they run up onto the median destroying the original granite curbs. I just don't understand why they have to turn down Northern when there isn't a bus stop on this block. Turn right on Tennessee (which is wider) then onto Washington to Northern or turn down the much wider Central Blvd then down Washington, then onto Northern.
