Grass is natural and it's not blocking the view of the house. It's been too hot and now too wet to cut any grass. Even city right of ways are really high. She needs to mind her own business. If you make this owner cut the grass, I will be putting in requests for all of the city right of ways to get cut. It's only fair if they have to cut natural grass not interfering with traffic visibility or interfering with seeing the house, then city should cut right of way grass that is interfering with car driving visibility. If this woman is that concerned and it's an abandoned house, then no one should stop her from cutting the grass herself. This complaint is a waste of taxpayers money.

No one is talking about road right of ways. This is a neighborhood, a
wonderful neighborhood of people that love this neighborhood and are living in very close proximity to each other. We are striving to make our neighborhood a more beautiful, safer place to live and raise our families. Therefore, she is minding her business. We don’t live in a vacuum.
Lack of proper yard maintenance i.e. high grasses, etc. due to months of neglect causes conditions favorable for breeding grounds of rodents, snakes, insects, etc.

It's not constitutional to force your yardwork beliefs onto other property owners. If this concerns you so much, then help your neighbor cut the grass. If you are promoting Goodwill, then Goodwill means helping your fellow neighbor.

This individual is known to be a slum landlord and needs to be held accountable. I don’t know where you get your information about the constitution, but this is a violation of city code.

It isn't a violation of city code. Jack Ellis tried to go after my parents neighborhood when he was in office. The city code is the front of the house must be visible, the house must be painted or have siding. That's basically it. Please site the city code that he is violating. It says that the house has just been bought by a new person. How can a brand new buyer have a history of being a s...m landlord. Why do you consider high grass like they have at the national parks, protected forests, etc to make it like a slum. It's pure nature. Grass is wonderful. Please let me know the City code violation number so I can look it up.

Final comment FYI.
We have kept a right of way cut at our own expense for years! We’ve also cut grass for neighbors. I explained before the problems caused by high grass, etc. We don’t live in a national park, a jungle, etc. We live in close proximity to each other inside the City.
