The Intersection Of Rt 322 And Rt 10 Is The Very Heartbeat Of Honey Brook. The Businesses That Remain At And Near Are Truly What Keeps Honey Brook Alive. The Decision To Change The Traffic Light To Its Current Pattern Is Taking A Horrible Toll On The Economy. Safety. Livelihood. And Growth Of This Town. And Will Continue To Do So Unless Those Entrusted With The Lives. Cares. And Concerns Of Honey Brook Residents. Businesses. Etc Are Called Upon. And If Necessary. Forced To Take Responsibility And Action.

Why Avoid Rt 10 And 322 Intersection... 1. The Air Is So Thick And Heavy From The Overwhelming Amount Of Built Up Exhaust. Not To Mention The Smell And Health Hazards 2. Traffic Delays And Obstacles Far Too Abundant And Time Consuming 3. Hazards And Dangers To Both Pedestrians As Well As Drivers Pathetically Obvious Yet Permitted To Exhist 4. Officials And Representatives Of Honey Brook Display No Regard For Residents. Business Owners. Visitors. Or Travelors. Afterall. Where Is The New Honey Brook Building Located And Whom Paid For It? 5. Why Not?

I agree, there are serious problems that come from this light being this way. Let me list them to show just how bad this is going to be:
1) The intersection is causing lots of traffic to sit still. The road was not build for that much weight to be sitting on it. If we continue to let cars and trucks sit waiting for the light, i am positive that the road will eventually fall through into the earth, and there will end up being a very large hole in the middle of Honey Brook.
2) Have you noticed the pollution? I realize it's the same amount of cars going through as normal, but because they're staying in one spot, it's different. This is causing Smog. Look at California, do you really want your kids living in an environment like that? Next Gays will begin to take over due to the Smog, and people will have to start driving Smart Cars. No one wants that.
3) People cutting through. I almost got a ticket because i rolled a stop sign. Now if the light was back to normal, i wouldn't have been close to a ticket! That's ridiculous. I mean seriously, fix that crap.

Now i know what you are all thinking, this guy is a genius, well it's true i am. IQ of 168, DON'T BE FOOLED!! This light needs changed or we're all going to suffer serious problems such as emphysema, cocaine addiction, Road rage, diabetes, excessive weight gain, heroine addiction, and even cancer. SAVE THE CHILDREN, CHANGE THE LIGHT BACK!

I frankly like the Light the way it has become, it allows people to go slower when driving through, and that way i can feel safe in my homestead. I am happy with the light and i personally do not want it to be changed back. People were at danger with the old configuration and all other stops like the old configuration are a danger to the society and its people. The universal speed limit should be 25 mph. No more than 25 mph even ambulances, and if a vehicle drives in excess of that speed they should receive 100 dollar fine per 1 mph of over, including one point per 1 mph over! With a max limit of 5 points, and if you exceed that 5 point limit you loose your license forever in the country. So in conclusion this lights allows people to drive slower and safer, therefore making it a necessity to our American roads. Thank you Honey brook for leading the way to a better tomorrow!
And anyone that makes a smog comment with correspondence to Los Angles(California) smog issue truly is ignorant for the sole fact that they do not understand how CO2 and NOX gases collect. They would not collect in that small area between the building like that. American ignorance that is truly corrupting our futures. What a shame.

I live on 1 of the side streets and to c the cars speeding through with out any concern except to hey to where they need to go as fast as they can. 1 of our children are going to get hurt because of this light and then what?? I have written to the township. Know what they said? Thankyou.

Yes! Please change it back!I see people cut through the back roads to avoid it and get back on 10. It's not safe for the children, and ofcourse there are the people who do the old "south philly slide" through the stop signs...

This new traffic pattern is terrible! I counted 33 cars stopped on one side of the light, by this ridiculous change in light timing. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Heading west on the way home, I am back the whole way before Walnut Street. When the light does change (approximately 4 minutes), 5 or 6 cars get through, and it's red again. I'm going to start taking the turnpike. Talk about 'fixing something that wasn't broken.'

Who thought of this "fix". The light was fine before. Moving the Stop Here on Red markings back was suffiicient. This timing only serves to snarl traffic. I too go around to get in and out of the banks and post office. If I lived in the residential area of this, I would be outraged. It diverts a lot of local traffic. What can be done and when?!

Did someone get a bonus for this idea?.

There was a Boro mtg last night. They have a mtg every third Monday of each month at 7pm @ 91 Pequea avenue in honey brook. Lots of PPL are upset about this but if we don't attend the mtgs our voice goes unheard.

I can appreciate your liking the one direction at a time for travelers to travel throuh downtown Honey Brook but I do not believe you have taken the time to watch the traffic back up for about 3/4 mile or longer each way. Residents can't get out of their driveways. Business entrances are blocked constantly. Drivers are driving faster than spied limits on the side streets. A woman on a bicycle was injured and a police report filed a few days ago when the driver took a side road to avoid the backup. Why would you think it's ok to hurt a person - an American person on an American road? If you are a true patriot than this would be all Americans safety and you would think twice before posting a ridiculous comment as you did a few days ago. The light had issues prior to them switching it to 1 direction at a time but I can tell you as a FACT that this is NOT the SOLUTION! Drivers get quite angry and will cause more harm than good.

We live south of HB. We used to patronize the Gulf station, the pizza shop, Lucky Wok, the Bistro, and MT bank. Because of the traffic at the light, we now take our business to Parkesburg and Guthriesville. Both are farther, but we can get there quicker and with no traffic congestion. The Honey Brook business community must be suffering terribly. Sorry.

It is disheartening to see and feel the community, both public and private, in its entirety, in spirit, revenue, etc, dwindling and dissolving at such an alarming rate. Faith and trust in the officials we believed would protect any/all of our best interests, seemingly more concerned with their own wants and needs, selfishly, greedily, and deliberately making decisions and taking actions that in no way whatsoever are in the best interest of Honey Brook. We are simply and inevitably ignored, pushed aside, stepped on, and excused. When will we, public and private, say enough is enough, take control, and put these so called officials in their place? Take control of this town and its future fate now Honey Brookers, before its too late!

Why dosen't everyone get involved. As I understand it. It is not a borough project. I think they are state roads. It is Penn Dot running the project. I was at the last meeting when Penn Dot was invited to a meeting by council. Honey Brook Borough council wanted more to be done and Penn dot was not going to do much. In short it sounded like Penn dot was not sure what would work to help the intersection. I felt Borough council is trying to do what they can. Try contacting your state rep too.

I Know About The Blame Game. I Personally Attendended A Recent Township Meeting. My Questions And Concerns Were Met With A Firm Fimger Pointing Me To PennDot. When I Contacted PennDot I Was Pointed To Honey Brook Township. And This Continues Even Now. Thank You. The light is going to go back to normal. At least this is what was said the other night....

Perhaps its time for every person affected or concerned about this issue to begin emailing, calling, postal mailing, etc, local & state officials as well as media.There is great power in volume and mass... Let`s use the power we have to fix this problem... and fix it ASAP. What are we waiting for?

The lights on Route 322 are flowing both ways and traffic seems to flow a little better the last 2 weeks. The lights on Route 10 still move 1 direction at a time. Traffic continues to back up on both sides of Route 10. When the project is complete, the lights will eventually flow in both directions for both sides but that issue is pending. One light in entire Honey Brook Borough should not be this difficult to operate efficently. It's a waiting game and hopefully there will be a resolution in the immediate future. I am currently not pleased and will monitor this project. I will continue to gather infomation and ask any elected official to assist in improving the lives of all that live and travel thru this town.

Issue is on going and there is little or no hope for resolution. Unless the Borough asks Penn Dot to switch back to the old 2 way free flowing traffic this will continue.
