The only thing the city has done is set up cones so cars dont submerge into this constant river of fresh water going to waste down the gutters...what a pitiful sight..

The City says that old well that was not capped properly. The rain this season the water table and pressure pushed the water to the surface. The City is working with a well contractor and Valley Water to have it capped within the next few weeks.

There is an artesian well, which is bringing water from deep underground to the surface at Tasman Drive between Birchwood and Reamwood. The water flow is likely due to overcharging of the aquifer from the recent rains and possibility of a failure of an abandoned well, which is providing a route for the subsurface water access to the surface. There are no drinking water pipe breaks involved.

Repairs will be complex and will involve extensive excavation and specialized work. The City will be making repairs over the next few weeks, which will include the closure of Tasman Drive in the westbound direction, during those repairs.
