No. Wondering why you're asking. The deer are one of the main reasons why we choose to live here. It's heartbreaking to think of having them killed to preserve a plant. In the "New comment" section of this post, there is a place to vote to close the issue or to keep it open. I just registered my vote.

The deer do seem to be out in force this summer. We, too, are losing plants that have never been an issue previously. However, even more important are health-related issues. My husband is currently being treated for suspected Lyme Disease. We work in our yard regularly. Apparently he was bitten by a tick (carried by deer) while working in the yard. It is time to get a report on the controlled hunt plans.

I have been aware of the deer in that area and did take a couple from that area but we can only remove male deer during the summer and these groups get wise pretty quick. The bucks from the area group up into bachelor groups that usually consist of five to ten deer. Our deer herd is in great shape both health wise and numbers. We will continue managing the deer but these bachelor groups can do some damage when they key in on an area during the summer. I will revisit this area soon!!
