Thank you for helping us! Let's band together against litterbugging! Litter doesn't fall from the sky. Litter is THROWN by litterbugs, or left behind by lazy litterbugs.

IDEAS? I am sure the CIty and the rest of us are willing to think outside the box. This is not a new problem. My husband walks every day and picks up a bag full of trash and I am sure there are many others who do the same. There's a monthly group of volunteers that clean up as well. Especially, where the homeless hang out you'll find liquor bottles and trash. And yes, probably they weren't taught. I've seen on social media a giant fish of chicken wire made for people to toss plastics and recycles into the mouth. It's a fun idea that gets people to toss their bottles their. But the trash you speak of is from people you will never retrain. Sorry.

Elizabeth I can't agree with you more! I've been picking up trash for months. It's time we begin confronting litterbugging face to face. It's also time our tax dollars assisted in keeping public areas cleared of litter, not just during tourist season, but during storm season NOW, as well.
