  I agree. Since it is treated as 2 lanes by all vehicles a sign designating proper lane designation would greatly help the flow of traffic in such a congested area. I also agree that the left lane should be for left turn only and right for right and straight. Lines should be painted and signs hung. Lets do this! The area is only going to get worse with casino traffic.

  Hi,
  Just hoping for an update on this. I noticed several police officers pulling people over at this intersection during the morning commute a few weeks ago, so presumably they're aware that this is a trouble spot.

  Just a reminder that this is still a problem. Traffic routinely backs up in this area, and the lack of clarity about the lanes produced extra confusion and anger. Watch the intersection during PM rush hour, and you'll see problems virtually every day.

  Any change or improvement at the mentioned intersection would likely involve coordination with DCR. DCR owns and maintains that signalized intersection. There may be pros/cons associated with any of the lane assignment options. Therefore, this issue would require further study to help assess any pros/cons.
