Description

Good Day,
As a follow-up to years of reporting, this photo is just one of many taken thus far this year during heavy rainfalls (these may be brief downpours or lengthy storms). Please reference previous reports (e.g, 2872052). Our property and the properties across the street to the south are frequently flooded due to the inadequacy of the storm pipes and when this happens, cars are parked up on the front lawns, which in itself is a code violation. There is one storm drain on either side of the street that cannot accommodate a heavy rainfall and these are the only 2 drains on the entire street which runs east. Rainfalls clog up the system and deposit debris from the entire street to the front of our property, which we clean up on a daily basis. We have been told in the past that the pipes exiting these storm drains are very old and cannot serve this street adequately. This issue MUST finally be addressed by the City as it is causing immeasurable damage to properties as well as a threat to the safety and health of this area. Trucks and cars speed through these waters and children play in the deep water that accumulates. Your expedient investigation and remediation is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
