Description

People ignore the NO LEFT TURN sign across the road from BJ's Gas Station right before the Jeep dealership and turn into oncoming traffic lanes instead of going to the light.

I have noticed this violation on numerous occasions and have almost rear ended Several people that stopped short because they decided last minute to make the illegal turn. The town of North Haven needs to rebuild the small Curb Island that was blocking/Shaping the traffic pattern here. As well, the Police Department needs to step up Traffic enforcement on Univeral Drive. I routinely see people speeding in Excess of 50mph on this stretch of road, and ignoring stop lights, talking on cell phones amongst other violations.
