Whoever keeps submitting complaints needs to stop. The country can't make changes overnight, and it's just costing the rest of us taxpayers money when the same complaint is submitted over and over. There is a legal system that has to be followed. Go to the Sarasota County permitting site and look at all the duplicate complaints filed for this address.

Uh, Mary do you live in this neighborhood? As for the taxpayers, they are not charged per complaint. And I’ll complain as many times as I want to until this mess is cleaned up.

Here is MY SECOND complaint. This is the most disgusting "home" I've ever seen. Many of us would like to be proud to live in Venice Gardens. It is impossible with that filthy collection of garbage all over the entire property. I say we complain every day until something happens.

I DO live in the neighborhood and agree that it's disgusting, but the county has to follow the law and perform due process. If you actually look at the code enforcement complaint they are working on it. There is a lien placed against the property with a daily fee until it is cleaned up. What do you expect the county to do? Take all their personal property and throw it out? That would be against the law. If you did some research and looked it up, they are required to clean it up and are being fined. Go ahead and complain daily, as you have a right to do so. Personally, I don't think that will make a difference. Let the law work through the process. The tax payers are not charged per complaint, but the tax payers do pay the country to investigate each complaint. I'm sure they have better things to do than investigate each duplicate complaint.

I agree, Linda! And the county can and will dispose of the garbage and junk at this homeowners expense! This house is a menace and breeding ground for rodents and other vermin. It’s beyond nasty and disgusting! As for the due process, the homeowner has a certain amount of time to clean it up and if they don’t, the county will clean it for them. They’ve done it before for other properties that were like this. Can’t wait on the homeowner forever.

And Mary, out of all the complaints registered, only 3 are open and one of them is for zoning... what gives with that?
