Description
Another summer- more homeless in our park. We’d like to know what we can expect by way of support from City Hall. We do not want to go through another summer with sex workers servicing their clients in our back yards, our park overrun with homeless, and drug addicts sleeping it off outside our windows. We have the feeling this would never fly if it were East Rock or Westville. Why does it go unheeded in Fair Haven? Our 88-unit community and its residents pay our taxes, do not unduly avail ourselves of City services (we pay for our own garbage collection, recycling pick-up and bulk trash, sidewalk maintenance, and send extremely few, if any, children to NHPS).

We are trying to delineate issues that are current and need the city's attention to resolve as many were address through routine maintenance and not closed. Any issues prior to 2022 are being closed.
Since your initial report the City has instituted its Office of Community Resilience that works on Homelessness issues/concerns/outreach/engagement and also has the new COMPAS alternative response to use social workers and those with lived experiences to address issues that may not be the best fit for our first responders to address.
If your issue remains and needs to be addressed by the city, please open as a new See Click Fix issue, you can reference the initial report and report directly into our Homeless category that is monitored by the Office of Community Reliance. Thank you.
