Description

The historically appropriate ballards and chains are not being used at this entrance. Instead, we have temporary yellow plastic highway barriers, as well as the temporary steel barriers. Ballard and chain system is attractive and wad put in place to provide functionality, while visually enhancing Washington Park. This is a major entrance point to the park, and should be kept in an attractive state, as other entrances are. Is there a reason for abandoning the ballard and chain system here?
