Description
Cars traveling northbound on Halsted at Grace/Broadway often stop in the middle of the intersection blocking southbound left turn traffic onto Broadway during heavy traffic (post cubs game or evening commute). Increases driver frustration/anger (lots of honking, yelling, and aggressive maneuvers). Endangers pedestrians and bicyclists attempting to cross the intersection. See photo. Improved signage (including “don’t block the box” road paint or streetlight signs), or increased enforcement, or intersection redesign could help.
