I finally saw a police officer sitting by the lake parking lot across from Suburban Furniture on Main Street for the first time since this was posted. It was 11/19/10. The problem is, is people are coming onto Main Street with their CELL PHONES to their ears, and speeding. Not slowing down for folks that are trying to turn or for people crossing the road to get onto Green Lane. These people are getting far too many warnings, and not enough tickets. It's a very busy area and they do indeed speed UP when they get onto Main Street when they see someone trying to turn onto Green Lane off of Main. Our friend who is a police officer told us they will speed up an additional 10-15 mph faster than what they were going when entering Main from Rt. 10 by Suburban on AVERAGE once they get onto Main Street.
