Description

The sidewalk on the west side of 12th Street NW, north of Constitution Ave, NW, is closed and has been closed for months now. There are no signs warning of this until you get to the closure at which time you have to detour to a narrow sidewalk and dirt. The sidewalk should be closed at both lights (Constitution Ave and mid block) so that people are able to cross at the crosswalk to use sidewalk on other side of street. This area is muddy after rains and it clearly can't be accessed by a wheel chair. A wheel chair can't even get between the planters. This is adjacent to the EPA building so may be a GSA issue but they are affecting a public sidewalk.
