  The tree is on my property, but right next to school property, and access is only possible from the school parking lot.

  I'm not sure what species the tree was, but it is dead, dried up, and fallen on the ground. This is not about permission to remove a living tree.

  Thank you for contacting OAK 311 regarding this matter. Public Works does not have jurisdiction on trees on private property. If the private contractor needs to gain access to the property from the school's property, you might want to reach out to the school regarding gaining access to their property to have the tree removed. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

  Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately the OUSD phone system is bad, and it's impossible to reach anyone. The school itself doesn't answer, the option for regional offices doesn't have an option for my region, and the operator doesn't answer.
