Our mailbox has been hit 3 times by careless,speeding drivers! I believe the 35mph sign needs to change also, because throughout River Oaks it would be dangerous to drive at that speed. Reduce the speed and enforce for the safety of others!!!

NO THE SPEEDING, PASSING ANOTHER VECHILE ON A SECONDARY ROAD, OR RIDING TOO CLOSE, WHEN YOU'RE IN FRONT DOING THE SPEED LIMIT. IT WOULDN'T EVEN HELP TO LOWER IT TO 25MPH. THEY DON'T OBEY THE 35MPH SO THEY WOULDN'T OBEY THE 25MPH. WHY CAN'T SPEED BUMPS BE PUT IN? WE PAY TAXES TO THE COUNTY, PROPERTY, VEHICLE, AND A PORTION OF IT GOES TO ROADS. WHEN THE STREET WASN'T PAVED, PEOPLE DIDN'T DO THIS, FOR FEAR OF DAMAGING THEIR VEHICLE. BUT THEY DON'T THINK ABOUT HITTING A CHILD OR SOMEONE WALKING FOR EXCERISE, OR PEOPLES PETS. I DON'T FEEL THIS ISSUE WILL BE RESOLVED UNTIL SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAPPENS AND THAT WILL BE A SAD DAY. TWO OF MY NEIGHBORS HAVE COMPLAINED ALSO. I DON'T KNOW ALOT PEOPLE THAT LIVE ON THE STREET. BUT EX-SHERIFF MCQUEEN LIVES AT THE END TOWARDS 421, WHY IS HE OK WITH IT? MAYBE SINCE IT'S CLOSE TO THE STOP SIGN, THEY SLOW DOWN THAT WAY, NOT UP HERE.

This is INSANE! I am here visiting my mom, and cars a flying by going atleast 50mph! Something needs to be done. I guess it will take a person getting hit and killed while walking to get this fixed.

The sheriff's office has been out there twice at our request and have not been able to get anyone speeding. We are going to try to go out again but I wanted to give you that update.

No this issue hasn't been resolved. Haven't seen any law enforcement in the area patroling. Still speeders, animals getting ran over, next it will be someone getting hit. I don't like the cut through to River Rd. Never had this problem till they did that. Would like to see it seperated off again, and let the people Royal Oaks have a seperate area, and worry about the speeders there. Ours started from a convenient straight stretch of road for them to get to and from work. And they are in one big hurry to get home from work. Some have good sense and some have none. Tks. Nancy E. I've been laid off since the first of Dec. and I haven't seen any law enforcement on the street. When we called the police a few months ago, we even offered our driveway to back up into, to use radar. They made one pass through and that was it. I will say it's not every car now that you see speeding. But their is still those that continue to drive way too fast, to stop for a child riding their bike out of a driveway, or skateboard. We've tried to get license plate #'s, alittle difficult when they are flying by. People want pot holes fixed and I wish they had left our road with pot holes in it. NO, THE ISSUE HASN'T BEEN RESOLVED, BUT MIGHT AS WELL CLOSE IT. NOTHING WILL EVER BE DONE ABOUT IT. BUT BETTER BELIEVE, WHEN SOMEONE GETS HIT, I HOPE THEY PULL UP THIS COMPLAINT AND SEE THAT I WAS TRYING TO GET IT STOPPED.
