The bare minimum was done to this site. The grass wasn't cut and the bushes weren't trimmed. Lazy and pathetic.

On July 8th an officer visited the property to investigate the complaint and take photos. On July 10th Officer Rivers, visited the Target location at 1135 Woodstock Road and spoke with the Manager on site to obtain corporate information to make contact. On July 11th officer Rivers was able to make contact with an employee who stated that clean up and a landscaper was scheduled to visit the site. A site visit(face to face) with the employee of the company will take place sometime this week with Officer Rivers. Please be assured that Code Enforcement is pursuing this as an open and ongoing case and an officer will revisit this property.

Thank you for staying on top of this. We know they have not been cooperative.

Given Target sold the property to Marathon MRE), and the fact that City Council has approved Worthing Companies to redevelop it mean that one of those companies should be maintaining it? If Worthing Companies can’t cut the grass, what kind of quality will they build into their project? Just want to make sure the City is approaching the right people who control the property to ensure it remains maintained.

I was looking at the Fulton County records and it shows it still owned by Target under a MRE East Village showing ownership by Target. Records might be out of date but I assumed that Target still owned it and any deal with Worthing was contingent on the approval of the rezoning. Perhaps Community Development staff can identify the actual current owner.

Staff has made contact with MRE East Village Option Owner LLC and as stated above a site visit is scheduled with staff and the point of contact for MRE East Village for this week.
