I suggest also reporting this to CALTRANS. the ivy is also over grown and becoming an obstruction to the sidewalk. and the underpass needs cameras and lighting to help deter break-ins.
Thank you Councilmember Lynette Gibson McElhaney, we appreciate you taking part in our civic improvement. If you are on this website for any time you will realize that pretty much all of the of the overpasses in town have problems like this and could use more lighting and cameras. I realize money is tight, but I would assume that the majority of Oaklanders would welcome cameras and lights on all of the overpasses and consider it a prudent expense.

Agree with jr003's and Councilmember McElhaney' s comments about the areas under the overpasses. These are problem hot spots and need better lighting and cameras.
This is from this morning's clickfix roundup:
Grove Shafter Freeway Oakland, CA 94609, USA
Hypodermic needles on Sidewalk and street north side of 45th under overpass. More than 10. Health concern.
Homeless camping, drug use and drug dealing is constant in that area and under many parts of the Grove Shafter Freeway, esp. near Childrens Hospital.
