Description
Since beginning of July there has been a camper van parked on Ocean Shore Ave between Spinnaker & Ketch Ct. & it appears there is a man & 2 young children living in the van, (possibly more). Sometimes there are clothes hanging on the mirrors.

I concede I had the same assumption as you about 911, but it's not accurate. I have spoken to police officers regarding using the non-emergency number for trivial items and they have told me to call 911 and let the dispatchers sort out the priorities. What you are all implying is that the dispatchers don't have the common sense to prioritize a capital crime vs. trespassing...they know how to do their jobs. The police are the correct people to investigate this, and calling them is the best way to resolve it, not using a 311 service.
Besides, how do you know that someone camping on the street may have other intentions? What if something bad happens between the time this complaint was submitted and potentially resolved in a couple days? If you or your family were negatively affected I'm sure you'd wish the police investigated sooner.
