The other end of this backs up to Richie's Slush in Everett. This is a real problem in the morning when a 5-10 minute commute is now over 30 minutes.

First time I ever saw cars backed up to Wellington from the McGrath highway south. It was a total mess yesterday. Spent 45 minutes trying to get over to I-95 through Everett and Chelsea. I-95 was empty. I assume it was all about people avoiding the Tobin toll.

Please please PLEASE install red light cameras at every light in Wellington Circle. Every time a light turns red, a bunch of cars run the light, thereby blocking the intersection. The next light turns green, and cars cannot proceed. So they then run the red light, creating a vicious cycle. If people started receiving tickets for running reds and "blocking the box", the situation would improve immensely. The circle is a mess, but there have been times when the lights were out and state troopers were directing at every intersection, and GUESS WHAT? Traffic flowed smoothly, because no one dared run a light or block the intersection in front of police. Also, I cross 16 on foot every day on my way to the T, and I have been nearly run over several times due to people running the light, and it's only a matter of time before someone is hit.
