According to Judge Lopez in defense of her case said there is a state statute in her motion to dismiss:
The Home Rule Act, the enabling act, does not grant a municipality, in this case the City of Bridgeport, the power to prohibit parking in front of a person’s property on an area that is not a sidewalk.
Regardless of Judge Lopez's "defence" and ticket dismissal, parking on an unapproved surface (not paved), even on your own property or Public/City property, is a Zoning Violation subject to $100 fine per day.
NOPE...Don't know where you are getting that unfounded speculation from...not what the Violation sticker or Ordinance says... It is often placed on passenger vehicles as was this very sticker/warning.
