I would like this looked at also. I drive through this intersection at least twice a day and have also seen numerous accidents. I think everyone needs to pay more attention though. Just because your light is green doesn't mean you shouldn't pay attention to what's going on around you!

Has any civic transportation authority ever responded to or commented on the problem of this intersection ((route 1 and Forrest Ave)? I'm beginning to feel like we are talking to ourselves, here.

I have also commented on the state of the narrow lane going up the hill towards UNH, anyone walking, or especially on a bicycle, is like meat for the grinder. The last time the state painted the lines they actually made the right hand(bicycle) lane even narrower than it was. There is NO breakdown lane at all and the lane gets so narrow half way up that they had to discontinue the breakdown line on the edge of the road! It's a disgrace that this has been allowed , and the fix isn't that expensive. By removing the concrete curb they could add 3 feet to the side of the road.

Fortunately Ms. Turkington commented on this over two years ago. Big help!
