Description
the traffic light on 139 westbound at the intersection of palisade Ave is too short. On the weekends traffic backs up because only a few cars make it through the light. Need to make it much longer.

Everytime I am at this light I count that only 5 cars can make this light. That's if everyone is paying attention and not looking at their phones when the light turns green. This issue has been reported before. Because this is a state highway, the city can only ask the NJDOT to address this. Seeing as how the light is still the same length of time when it was installed, NJDOT either doesn't care or the city isn't being firm enough in getting this changed.
The lights of the whole length of the new 139 are all out of sync. It blows my mind that we had an opportunity to improve air quality and mitigate stop and go traffic and it just didn't happen.
