Description
To whom it may concern,
This is the wonderful aftermath of our wonderful neighbors. They are extremely kind and considerate, hosting parties with loud music, strobe lights, and dozens and dozens and dozens of people. They are so considerate; they finally had several cop cruisers and wonderful police officers there around 1am.
My questions to the City of Brockton, are these;
According to Article II, Sec. 14-18, 1 thru 6. They were a nuisance to the neighborhoods, and effected the quality of life of those neighbors around them.
So,
Was the owner of the home cited and fined for a nuisance complaint?
If not, why were they not? This is not the first time.
Second and more pressing concern, is were the owners charged with Underage Drinking and the Social Host Law in Massachusetts?
If not, why not? The kids were drinking, and the father was clearly at the residence. As a matter of fact, early we asked them to turn down the music and the kids flipped us off, and the father made a shoeing away gesture to us go back in the house. This is the second time in less two weeks he has enabled and allowed such a party to be at this residence. Is this not a DSS matter then?
If the parent was not charged, “There’s a common misconception that only grownups can get in trouble for giving alcohol to underage guests. Not true!! Minors (under age 21) can also be charged with violating the Social Host Law if they invite friends to your house and provide alcohol”, so somebody should be held responsible.
By allowing this type of underage parties, he, or they, are intentionally putting the residents, the kids, and the city of Brockton in danger with the possibility of drunk or impaired drivers on the road after such an event.
The attacked photo clearly shows alcohol bottle strewn about the yard.
If there is no fines or punishment being imposed, then there is no deterrent to stop such nuisance behavior in the future. So, please explain the legal action that was taken, or if none was taken, other than the police shutting the party down starting around 1am, why not.
If this is not the right forum for this, please provide a clear POC (point of contact) for the right agency.
Thanks for your time,

“What is racism in simple words” – That would be bringing up race when it has not been mentioned or has any bearing on the persons character.
“You guys love to police black people” – Race has nothing to do with being rude, loud, obnoxious, annoying, while also being a public nuisance and conducting criminal behavior. By allowing and promoting underage drinking, these people have put kids lives at risk, as well as the public at large. It has nothing to do with race, but public decency and safety, which you somehow think is okay and that you don’t have to follow the rules.
“You are nothing but a white racism B Misty” – Seems like you are the one that is the very thing you a calling somebody else.
“This is not a trashing backyard, he or she took the picture right after a birthday party” – A birthday party with underage drinking and a public nuisance to the neighborhood. What stellar morals and ethics you have. I can’t recall myself, or my neighbors ever having a birthday party that promoted and allowed underage drinking, and where the police showed up.
“Misty just so you know 19 Edgar have cameras, 19 Edgar also saw who took the picture” – I took the picture and have zero problem telling you, and I have zero problem doing it the next time.
Everyone in the neighborhood should be contacting Jack Lally our Ward 6 council member at jlally@cobma.us, and ask him if citations and fines have been imposed, and if none were, ask him why not, and what is going to be done about this.
Additionally, if this happens again, we can file a public nuisance claim at city hall against the owners of the home, which is found on the assessor page, using ARTICLE III. - GENERAL REGULATIONS AND PERMITTED MODIFICATIONS Sec. 27-24.2. – Noise, as the legal grounds to sue for an injunction from the superior court.
