Description

To whom it may concern,

This is the wonderful aftermath of our wonderful neighbors. They are extremely kind and considerate, hosting parties with loud music, strobe lights, and dozens and dozens and dozens of people. They are so considerate; they finally had several cop cruisers and wonderful police officers there around 1am.

My questions to the City of Brockton, are these;

According to Article II, Sec. 14-18, 1 thru 6. They were a nuisance to the neighborhoods, and effected the quality of life of those neighbors around them.

So,

Was the owner of the home cited and fined for a nuisance complaint?
If not, why were they not? This is not the first time.

Second and more pressing concern, is were the owners charged with Underage Drinking and the Social Host Law in Massachusetts?
If not, why not? The kids were drinking, and the father was clearly at the residence. As a matter of fact, early we asked them to turn down the music and the kids flipped us off, and the father made a shoeing away gesture to us go back in the house. This is the second time in less two weeks he has enabled and allowed such a party to be at this residence. Is this not a DSS matter then?

If the parent was not charged, “There’s a common misconception that only grownups can get in trouble for giving alcohol to underage guests. Not true!! Minors (under age 21) can also be charged with violating the Social Host Law if they invite friends to your house and provide alcohol”, so somebody should be held responsible.

By allowing this type of underage parties, he, or they, are intentionally putting the residents, the kids, and the city of Brockton in danger with the possibility of drunk or impaired drivers on the road after such an event.

The attacked photo clearly shows alcohol bottle strewn about the yard.
If there is no fines or punishment being imposed, then there is no deterrent to stop such nuisance behavior in the future. So, please explain the legal action that was taken, or if none was taken, other than the police shutting the party down starting around 1am, why not.
If this is not the right forum for this, please provide a clear POC (point of contact) for the right agency.

Thanks for your time,
