Description
Large trucks are speeding down Elm Street, in particular Royal Hospitality, breaking overhead tree limbs, putting bikers and young children at risk, and creating loud noises and debri. We desperately need a raised sidewalk or speed bump at Elm and Lincoln to deter commercial trucks from using Elm Street vs Columbia.

Also on Elm St. The city planted our linden tree a few years ago, but it has broken branches hanging off it all the time from the big trucks speeding by.
Cars also routinely speed on Elm. People like to cut across from Hampshire to Cambridge and avoid Columbia. A raised crosswalk at Lincoln St would at least shorten their runway. It's unbelievable how fast they go what with all the kids and bikes and close-parked cars.
Other city blocks have raised crosswalks. E.g., Columbia at Lincoln, not to mention Tremont at Carlisle just a couple blocks away. I don't see why those blocks should receive this kind of service while we don't. It is very frustrating.
