I hate to be fussy about speed limits, but to add: traffic on the 2900 block of Fernside is now approaching 50mph.

Westbound is faster than Eastbound

There is virtually no traffic control on Fernside. The average speed is around 40 mph, with a lot of traffic going much faster. Contrary to what the city thinks, Fernside is not a freeway, freeway on or off ramp, or express way. How many people have to be injured or die before the city takes Fernside between High and Tilden seriously. You can’t even cross the street without risking your life. Having lived on this street for 42 years, I know what I’m talking about, but the city fiddles while Fernsiders burn. Mike Taylor. P.S. Please pass this along to the City Manager.
