We sent a crew out to brush cut around the landing.

Stanwood Ave is a private way as is Stanwood Point.

This issue was cut previously, last fall. Why would this be private if it was done before and we do have our trash picked up and street plowed. The brush is growing into the street.

Both Stanwood Point and Stanwood Ave are both private ways ( please see public/private street listing http://gloucester-ma.gov/DocumentCenter/View/5528). Yes, you are correct, we do provide trash collection and plowing, as we do on many other private ways.

As far as brush cutting is concerned public ways are a priority. We sent a crew to clear the landing area of the brush.

If you would like to provide addresses we can certainly send notices to the property owners, as it is their responsibility to keep vegetation cut back to their property line.

Thank you for this feedback, but it is not in front of anyone's house. It is especially across from the boat and beach public landing. Coming around that corner is very dangerous during the day. At night time you can usually see the car lights coming around the corner. Not sure who's land that is. It is in the Open space. Just asking for safety purposes. Not just for my family but for others who come up and down that road all the time. Especially if there were ambulances or fire trucks that need to get down the road.
