Black guy with short hair on a green dirtbike on Quinnipiac Ave - Saturday 7/13.
Hispanic guy on a red and white dirtbike taking the Ferry Street bridge to State Street - 7/18.
Hispanic guy on a mini-bike on Glen Haven then across Quinnipiac onto Cranston - 7/18.
I saw a couple of the bikes on Front Street going toward Grand Ave.,a couple of days ago. Both riders had face masks on covering their faces.Went through the light on grand and front street, past the park and then were out of site...
Yep....I live near New Haven/NoHaven/EHaven town lines and they're everywhere. Police know where their owners are/where they're"stored" and we've always been told that's all that is needed ( due to no chase policy). Not true from what I can see. I hope police respond to this/all ATV and dirt bike posts...they can't rest on the laurels of the ATV "sting" any longer.
Question: has anyone ever had any police response to one of those anonymous Text-a-Tips??
Sunday, 1:30 pm . Chapel and James st. young black male doing standing wheelie on a red and white dirtbike. Looked like the guy who spit on the priest.
Agreed, need more info - also please call the cops each and every time, everybody, even if the dispatcher makes us feel dumb. I have been so relieved that the PD was taking this seriously, and we need to put pressure on them to continue to do so. Thanks all for posting.
