Because most of those properties are privately owned (even if not cared for) the best way to handle it is to contact the Operations and Maintenance division directly at (517) 483-4161 and we'll send the crew out to take care of it. You risk liability if you take it on yourself.

Kinda figured you'd say that. Makes it tough to be more than just a "grumpy complainer" though. The house is gone so I can say it now, but I had to cover up some stuff on the house next to me once. Must be a way that "good Samaritans" can make a dif without fear of reprisals. No good deed goes unpunished it seems.

I understand. However the City target for clearing Graffiti is 3 business days from notification. We're hitting that target better than 90% of the time, so if you call us it should be resolved quickly. Note that the quickest way is always by the 483-4161 number. This site is only monitored when admin (i.e. me) is here to respond. The phone number, however, is monitored 24 7.

I'm glad it's working for you Ken, but every time you send another message it is emailed to all the City employees who monitor this site and anyone else who watches it. All the emails add up. 6 just on this topic in the last 35 minutes or so. I don't want to ignore the see click fix emails, but if this turns into a webchat site I can guarantee you that the folks you want to view these "problems" will no longer be following it.
