I agree. I live near there and hear this every Thursday (including last night). They also run the light, turning left onto 23rd Ave from 7th St.

If they haven't caused wrecks already, it will definitely happen. There is a long procession of them running the red light at high speeds.

They gather in front of my warehouse (50 to 100 cars) on Frederick street on 4 to 5 nights of the week between 10pm and 3 am. The police seem to let them. :(

The funny thing is - I see Alameda cops at Union Point Park all of the time. I saw two squad cars peel out off the sidewalk one afternoon.
You'd think they could just put some pressure on them to relocate. Alas, I think it will take a death or two at that intersection before the news gets involved and puts pressure on the police to break them up.

Union Point Park is another issue that I should report! The homeless living on the water. Crossing the water on make shift floats w/a rope tied to their boats and the shore. Loads of parked cars waiting to deal drugs. Not that I wanna pay for parking but if the parking lot requires parking fees, I am sure it won't have so many homeless/drug dealers hanging out there. They trash the bathrooms, use it to bath and clean themselves. Homeless people make a home under the little bridge in the car. I find it funny that there are signs saying no dogs allowed in the park.... My dogs are much more well behaved and way less damage than these homeless/drug dealers! It was a beautiful park!

Jerry, that crappy truck is now moved onto your street! It was parked on both sides of Kennedy Street at numerous spots. We called the OPD non emergency # a few times and there was a big notice on the truck but no further actions have been taken.
