Yes, the graffiti is offensive — in that it blatantly indicates a lack of concern for our neighborhood by the City of Decatur, which has failed to address longstanding complaints about this eyesore.
I took a picture of this house back over the summer and nothing has been done. I’ve been told repeatedly there was a new buyer but nothing has changed. This is an eyesore and a safety hazard (not to mention a drain on property values). When will the City actually do something rather than assigning it to someone and doing nothing?
Almost six months later and still nothing done. This is an eyesore, a safety issue, and a drain on property values. Rather than “assigning” it to someone, please act on it. It needs to be torn down.
I reported as well last week. the mortgage company owns it as it went into foreclosure. It is in a floodplain with one of the highest likelihood of flooding so no investor will buy it. Should be condemned and torn down.
