Description
PLEASE enforce the 25 mph speed limit on Burnside Drive. Signs to slow down, speed bumps, cameras, police presence. Residents have asked for help for years. There are no sidewalks, and the neighborhood has children playing, people walking dogs, pedestrians going around parked cars, etc. The speeds at which drivers travel this road are dangerous.

Speed Volume counts were taken on Burnside Drive Jan 22-23, 2020
East bound Speeds were:
Avg: 30MPH, Operating Speed(85th%ile):36MPH
West bound Speeds were:
Avg: 33MPH, Operating Speed(85th%ile):39MPH
Avg Daily Volume: 578 Vehicles Per Day
While speed meets the requirements for beginning the hump process, volume does not.(See attached)
This project will remain open while we explore other options.

FYI...the counters had the taped peeled up and the tubes were not evenly across the road after the first day. This may have affected data as well.

Any recount would have to wait until COVID-19 crisis is over and school is in session.
